A Chinese ladies green silk embroidered jacket with bat and flower decoration in many coloured silks. Together with a Chinese dark blue long court robe (Changshan) with black and gold trim. The trim depicts fish (probably carp) and the endless knot (for longevity). The deep sleeves are a pale blue with a purple and green trim. They have five claw dragons and phoenix contesting the flaming pearl above stylised rocks embroidered in gold thread. The robe has gold coloured sphere buttons with 'Hallmarks' (possibly gold). Both garments high quality and probably Qing dynasty. (2) (B.P. 24% incl. VAT)
Long robe: lining stained, red mark on one sleeve and small white stains round shoulders. Otherwise good condition. Embroidered cuffs are probably silk, body of robe probably early synthetic/rayon. Probably early 20th Century. Jacket: Small stain to lining. Some damage to blue patterned edging, otherwise in good condition.
