Bottle of Royal Welsh Whisky from the Welsh Whisky Distillery, circa 1900, the label reading: 'As Supplies to HM the Queen and HRH the Prince of Wales' and 'It is distilled with the greatest possible care from malt only and is absolutely pure, connoisseurs pronounce it quite unique and as a wholesome stimulant it is very highly recommended', together with paperwork relating to Prince Charles' visit to South Wales in July, 1969, specifically letters from George Bennett and Co. Wine Merchants of Fishguard (the current vendor's father was a partner in this company and letters here are written directly to him, Mr Bennett Howell, from Colonel The Honorable Hanning Phillips, MBE) trying to organize a bottle of the Royal Welsh whisky being presented to Prince Charles during his investiture tour. Together with various newspaper cuttings about the tour and a photograph of a bottle of Royal Welsh whisky in box with card from George Bennett and Co. to Prince Charles.
